The 10th "Pro Juvenes" Student Environment Awards Gala is behind us. This year's winners included members of the SKN at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology MUW and Dr. Tomasz Grzywa, a sixth-year medical student at MUW.
During the last meeting of the University Senate, a nice ceremony was held to congratulate, acknowledge and present medals of the National Education Commission.
Its main goal is to disseminate modern genetic research. With particular emphasis on the role of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology in the early diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
It will cover three Warsaw high schools. More than 150 students from mathematics, biology and chemistry as well as biology, chemistry and physics classes will have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of medicine and health sciences. It will be presented by experts and students of our university.
How to help refugee nurses from Ukraine adapt professionally to our health care system? This question is the starting point for a project that will be implemented at MUW from a National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) intervention grant.
Oncological disease is a great challenge, especially when the youngest suffer. There are many such little patients at Children's Clinical Hospital MUW. To support them, give them encouragement and positive energy, volunteers from the Ronald MacDonald Foundation donated colorful, handmade hats.
As part of an international scientific and didactic conference, experts debated for two days on how to support and develop nursing in Ukraine. And there is and will be a great need for it, as could be figured out by listening to the opening lecture given by Dr. Kateryna Balabanova, Director of the State Agency Center for Nursing Development of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

During the 13th Warsaw Days of Human Nutrition Science, experts argued that vegetables and fruits are fundamental in the diet. They are especially recommended for people suffering from obesity, diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
The National Science Center awarded 194 scientific activities in the sixth and final round of MINIATURA 6. The total value of the funding researchers will receive was PLN 7.7 million. From MUW, funds for preliminary/pilot research will be awarded to Dr. Piotr Kalinowski, Dr. Leszek Blicharz, Dr. Zofia Wicik and Dr. Aleksandra Sędzikowska.
Nowotwór jądra atakuje młodych – szczególne zagrożenie stanowi dla mężczyzn z wieku 15–35 lat. Dlatego kolejny raz IFMSA-Poland Oddział Warszawa zorganizowała w Centrum Dydaktycznym niezwykłą wystawę składającą się z kilkunastu skanów preparatów histopatologicznych. Jej główny cel to jest podniesienie świadomości na temat profilaktyki nowotworów jąder i prostaty. Bo jak mówią organizatorzy edukacja na ten temat jest wciąż bardzo potrzebna. Nawet wśród studentów uczelni medycznej.
