Konferencja dla symulowanych pacjentów na WUM
Education with the participation of simulated patients, i.e. people who are prepared to play patient roles, has been developed for several years. These people cooperate with universities, playing an important role in developing students’ practical skills. A conference was organized at the Medical University of Warsaw for simulated patients. 100 people from all over Poland took part in it.

In the latest edition of the multidisciplinary ranking of the most influential scientists compiled by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier publishing, 20 researchers with affiliations of the Medical University of Warsaw are listed.

The statistics from the Medical Final Examination (LEK) and the Medical-Dental Final Examination (LDEK) are now available on the Medical Examinations Center website. The MUW graduates performed well in the exam. The average score of those who graduated from our university's medical field was 157.34 points, while the maximum score was 184 points. The average score of the MUW medical-dental graduates was 149.94 points, and the maximum score was 181 points.

Identification of cerebrospinal fluid circulation and outflow pathways, describing a new surgical technique in otosurgery and skull base surgery and development of a comprehensive method for determining anticoagulants – these are the topics of three scientific projects designed by researchers from the Medical University of Warsaw, which have just received funding in the next round of the MINIATURA 8 competition of the National Science Center.
Ruszył projekt wspomagający ocenę stanu zdrowia mieszkańców Warszawy
The project is carried out by scientists from the Department of Education and Research in Health Sciences of the Medical University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Warsaw City Hall. This is the next stage of work within the Partnership for Healthy Cities, which includes Warsaw, scientifically supported by our University. The main goal of the project is to develop and implement advanced tools, including an interactive dashboard, for assessing health of Warsaw residents.

Pope Francis has honored Prof. Marek Krawczyk, Rector of MUW from 2008-2012 and 2012-2016, with the Church's highest honor for laypeople - the Order of St. Sylvester.

Sixteen lectures were delivered during the conference. Nine workshops were also organized (some were conducted twice). Twenty four experts who represented not only Polish but also Brazilian, Italian and Israeli universities shared their knowledge and experience.

Prof. Agnieszka Kapłon-Cieślicka from the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology MUW has been awarded the President's Award of the Polish Society of Cardiology! In addition, she also received the Scientific Publication Award.
Otwieramy drzwi do świata medycyny i nauk o zdrowiu
The 28th edition of the Science Festival has ended. Traditionally, specialists from the Faculty of Health Sciences took part in it. What could the audience learn at the meetings they organized? Among other things, how many microorganisms there are around us, how to prevent diabetes, and how to care for a newborn. In sum, our experts invited guests to seven meetings on various topics covering issues at the intersection of medicine and health sciences. All of them attracted vivid interest.
