More than 300 participants from all over Poland, three thematic sessions, experienced doctors as speakers. On Sunday, March 19, the fifth edition of the "More Than a Myocardial Infarction" conference for students was held at the Teaching Center MUW.

Aleksandra Gąsecka-van der Pol, MD, PhD, has received the Medwoman 2022 - Scientist of the Year Award. Our specialist was recognized by the „Women of Medicine” Foundation for the above-average results of her research work.

The Council for the Development of Dentistry works under the Minister of Health. It assists and advises him on, among other things, the training of dentists and the rules of their profession.

The Medical Examination Center has released statistics from this year's spring session of the Medical Final Examination (LEK). Among our graduates, out of 1,043 who took the exam, 1018 passed. The maximum score they achieved was 189 points, the average was 164.28 points.

This is another meeting with a foreign scientist organized by the MUW Doctoral School. This time the guest speaker will be Giles Yeo - Professor of Molecular Neuroendocrinology, program leader at the MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit in Cambridge. He will give a lecture on March 9 via the Zoom platform. He will talk about obesity and the genetic research he is conducting. All interested parties are welcome to attend the lecture

The procedures in two young patients were carried out by specialists from the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology UCC MUW, led by Professor Paweł Łaguna.

The publication "Intellectual Property Law" was created at our university. It contains information about, among other things, copyright, industrial property, patents.... A must-read for all research workers.

On February 21 of this year, a year after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, a commentary "The war in Ukraine 1 year on: the need to strategize for the long-term health of Ukrainians" was published in The Lancet. Its authors are Prof. Paul B. Spiegel of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health, Pavlo Kovtoniuk of the Ukrainian Health Center, and Dr. Katarzyna Lewtak of the Department of Social Medicine and Public Health MUW.

Work is underway to create a Gender Equality Plan at our university. The obligation to develop and implement such a document is imposed on us by the EU. The first stage of the work was the preparation of an equality questionnaire, which was given to all employees and students of MUW.

The 9th edition of the BraveCamp Entrepreneurship Academy organized within the framework of the University of Warsaw Incubator has ended. Two of our students took part in it.
