- We can see an increase in donations in 2023; by November 27, 2023, 100 more organs were transplanted to patients than in the preceding year. Still, the organ recipient lists are getting longer every year - said prof. Monitoring infectious diseases in the post-pandemic era. Lecture at WUM Medical University of Warsaw
On November 27, 2023, an opening lecture in the field of public health was presented at WUM, entitled “Monitoring infectious diseases in the post-pandemic era.” It was delivered by Izabela Kucharska, MD PhD, PhD in Health Sciences, deputy Chief Sanitary Inspector. Faculty of Medicine students and staff of university hospitals were in the audience.
Tomasz Dzierżanowski, MD-PhD hab., received the OMNIA PRO INFIRMIS 2023: All for Patients award for physicians who are also community activists, especially devoted to their patients. These are awarded by the Wprost editorial staff in their “Visionaries of Health” ranking.
What is the Board, what are its structures, how does it work for nurses and midwives? Mariola Łodzińska, president of the National Board of Nurses and Midwives, talked about this to 1st year nursing students. This is valuable knowledge because this professional government was established for such purposes as representing people in nursing and midwife jobs. It is also valuable because membership is mandatory for graduates in these specializations as soon as they become licensed professionals.
- The procedure is an opportunity for patients with chest pain persisting despite previously available treatments, such as stent implantation and pharmacotherapy - says Mariusz Tomaniak, MD, PhD, from the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology MUW.
