The document aims to improve the relationship between medics and patients. Following it will improve the quality of health care in our country.

Congratulations to the students of MUW who were among the leaders in both individual and team competitions! 10 teams from the largest Polish medical universities took part in the contest.

The VI National Diagnostic Simulations, an annual competition of clinical knowledge and skills, has just finished at MUW. For three days, students of medical analysis from seven Polish medical universities competed for the title of the best diagnosticians. The leader was the team from Kraków. The second place belonged to the students from the Medical University of Warsaw, while the third position was taken by the team from Wroclaw.

On May 18, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, gave nominations to academic teachers and employees of science and arts. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace. Among the 56 nominees was Professor of Medical and Health Sciences Michal Grąt from the Department of General, Transplantation and Liver Surgery at UCC MUW, director of the Doctoral School at MUW.

Proper communication with the patient, especially the pediatric patient, plays one of the key roles in the therapeutic process. Changes the course of treatment, affects the child's mental condition and the level of cooperation between the patient and medical staff. That is why in August a group of specialist doctors and residents from the Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW will start a training course aimed at improving communication skills. The course "Patient-Friendly Communication" will be conducted by the K.I.D.S. Foundation and Positive Discipline experts.

Prof. Hanna Szajewska and Prof. Rafał Płoski are on the prestigious list prepared by Research.com. Data on Hirsch index, citations, and number of scientific publications from 2014- 2021 were taken into account when compiling the ranking.

For 108 pharmacy graduates, May 14 was an important and certainly memorable day. It was then, during the graduation ceremony, that they received their graduation certificates of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Warsaw. During the ceremony, they were accompanied by the university authorities, dean authorities, family and friends.

Was the opening ceremony of a new part of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology with the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism at UCC MUW. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. Piotr Pruszczyk, head of the expanded department and Vice Rector for Science and Technology Transfer of the Medical University of Warsaw, and the guests included a representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, president of the National Health Fund and the authorities of the Medical University of Warsaw.

Participants attended three topical sessions, three student sessions, and a poster session. Proper diet and supplementation, safety of medications used during pregnancy, and mental health of pregnant women are just some of the conference topics.
