This event, hosted by students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, was intended for young scientists who conduct interesting research in the field of health sciences. The agenda relied almost entirely on their speeches. Almost, because there was also room for an interesting debate with the participation of Faculty students about how they would like to be taught. Their discussion showed that, regardless of what subject they represent, they have clear expectations and there is more that unites them than divides them.
The “Gold Medal of the Fair”, the “Thailand Award” and the “Diploma of the Minister of Science” – this is the result of the University’s participation in the 17th International Fair of Inventions and Innovations INTARG 2024 in Katowice.
Great speeches resembling stand-ups plus heated discussions on a very current topic – this is the shortest way to describe this event. It was attended by academic teachers, secondary school teachers, experts in recruitment and career planning, as well as representatives of university authorities and students.
It was the first edition of the National Pharmacological Knowledge Competition “Recipe Auream” (Golden Prescription). Our university was represented by a team of six students of the Faculty of Medicine. And it turned out to be a “golden” team. We took first place in the team classification, first and second in the individual one.
These words were spoken by Aleksandra Zawadka-Grześkiewicz, this year's pharmacy graduate, to her colleagues present at the graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, which took place on May 18, 119 people received their diplomas of graduation. The graduates were accompanied at this important moment by the university authorities, faculty authorities and loved ones.
Paulina Kalman is the winner of the 15th Student Nobel Prize in the “Social Activity” category. As chairwoman of the Student Onko-Forum (SOF), she was recognized for promoting oncology - as an important, necessary and attractive specialty - among medical students and graduates.
The richness of colors, flavors, customs from all parts of the world could be experienced by the participants of the Diversity Festival, which took place on Saturday, May 18, at the Banacha Campus. Our foreign students who form the Diversity X WUM project invited for the diversity journey.
The 24th Run for New Life was held in Wisła. This is the largest event in Poland supporting transplantation. It was attended by transplant recipients, people from the world of culture and sports, high school students and representatives of transplant medicine. Representatives of our university could not be missing from this group.
Every year this event is getting more and more popular. Last Saturday, the Museum of the History of Medicine was visited by several thousand people.
The Medical University of Warsaw has signed a partnership agreement for the preparation and implementation of the “Universities of the Future” project. This means that together with 11 other Polish universities we are starting a new era in academic education.
